Meet the George Washington University Baja SAE Team. We are one of the few BAJA SAE teams predominantly led by women in engineering, and most of our team are women as well. We compete in an annual, intercollegiate engineering competition to design and build a prototype of an all-weather, rugged, single-seat, off-road recreational vehicle. Every year, we engineer and fabricate a vehicle from scratch; we do 100% of manufacturing in-house.

 

Our members have secured jobs and internships at companies such as Ford, Tesla, NASA, and the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory touting competitive experience gained through our design projects.

Our 20 member team is made up of students from all backgrounds and majors. We actively recruit throughout the academic year.
